Our History
40/15, Inc. Tennis was formed in the winter of 1994 from a kernel of an idea that originated with Bob Marville. The first meeting in Bob’s living room late that winter lasted over five hours with lunch being graciously served by his wife Jan. The vital group of six that collected that day were: Bob Marville the idea man, Bob Sargent the communicator, Cliff Mathews the (non-tech) advertising guy, Bill Fenn the financial guy, Trina Parsons the community outreach person, and John Ruger the physical plant facilitator. That meeting was an amazing confluence of great ideas. The collective energy this group produced resulted in the amazing facility and organization we all enjoy today. Now, twenty-six years later 40/15, Inc. Tennis is still a smooth running, hugely successful organization. The operation of the club has been accomplished by dedicated tennis loving volunteers. These good folks have done an amazing and seldom rewarded job to ensure our continued success. Think about this for a moment -- 40/15, Inc. Tennis has run for over twenty-five almost flawless years.
